About Us

Helping You Move Better, Age Stronger, and Live Fully.

Where Strength Meets Community.

At Impulse, fitness isn’t just about the workout. It’s about moving better, aging stronger, and feeling confident in your own body — today and for years to come.

What makes us different? Our community. Every member of the Impulse family is here not just to train, but to support, encourage, and celebrate each other. You’ll never feel out of place — no matter your age, experience, or starting point.

When you walk through our doors, you’re not just joining a gym. You’re joining a family that lifts you higher, pushes you further, and believes in your potential — even on the days you don’t.

The People Behind the Results.

At Impulse, our coaches are more than trainers — they’re mentors, motivators, and allies in your journey. Each member of our team brings unique experience and a shared passion: helping you move better, age stronger, and feel better than you have in years.

We don’t just design workouts — we adapt, encourage, and celebrate alongside you. Whether you’re overcoming an injury, chasing a new goal, or simply wanting to stay active for life, our team is here to meet you where you are and help you take the next step.

Kim Wagler - Founder & Trainer

Kim has been leading the Impulse community for more than 20 years, with a BA in Adult Fitness, a Minor in Community Health, and certification as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, she’s spent her career helping people discover that fitness isn’t just about looking good — it’s about moving better, living stronger, and transforming your life in and out of the gym.

What drives Kim most is hearing members’ stories and watching how fitness changes more than just bodies — it builds confidence, energy, and community. She’s passionate about functional strength training, running, and anything that brings people together to move, grow, and have fun.

Outside of the gym, Kim loves spending time with her kids (especially watching or playing sports together), playing and coaching basketball, and scrapbooking.

Kim’s mission is simple: to help every person who walks through Impulse’s doors feel stronger, healthier, and more confident in their own body — and to remind them that it’s never too late to start.

Brandon Heckel - Trainer

Brandon is a Certified Personal Trainer and current Physical Therapy student who brings both knowledge and heart to every training session. His background in therapy studies — gives him a unique perspective on movement, recovery, and helping clients reach their goals safely and effectively.

What Brandon loves most about coaching at Impulse is building real relationships with members and showing them their goals are achievable. Whether it’s helping someone move with less pain, improve their endurance, or simply believe in themselves again, Brandon thrives on watching clients succeed.

Outside of the gym, Brandon is an avid runner and enjoys outdoor adventures — from rock climbing trips in Kentucky to everyday runs around town.

Brandon’s mission is simple: to help clients realize just how much they’re capable of. His supportive coaching style, combined with his growing expertise in physical therapy, makes him a powerful ally for anyone looking to move better and feel stronger.

Emily Boda- Trainer

Emily holds a degree in Health Science and is TRX certified, with a passion for helping people discover just how strong and capable they really are. She believes fitness should be both challenging and fun.

What Emily loves most about coaching is seeing the transformation in her clients — both physically and mentally — after weeks of commitment and hard work. For her, nothing is more rewarding than knowing she’s making a lasting difference in someone’s life.

Outside the gym, Emily is all about adventure. You’ll often find her paddle boarding, snowboarding, hiking, running, or simply enjoying anything outdoors.

Driven by a love of learning and the belief that there’s always room to grow, Emily is dedicated to becoming the best coach she can be — and to helping every client feel stronger, healthier, and more confident in their own skin.

Grace Turner- Trainer

Grace is ISSA certified and currently completing her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science & Sport Business. With a passion for movement and a deep love of helping others, she thrives on using her knowledge — and her energy — to inspire clients to see what’s truly possible.

Her favorite part of coaching? Building relationships and watching people walk out of the gym feeling proud of themselves. Grace believes every client is capable of more than they think, and she loves showing them that strength, mobility, and confidence are all within reach.

Outside the gym, Grace loves exploring local coffee shops, going on long walks, hiking, running, hanging with friends, and browsing farmers markets.

Grounded in her faith and driven by passion, Grace sees fitness as more than reps and sets — it’s about helping people use the body God gave them to do things they never thought possible. Her ultimate mission? To keep learning, keep growing, and keep inspiring every client who walks through Impulse’s doors.

Denise Quentin- Trainer

Denise is a NSCA-Certified Personal Trainer with a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and Adult Fitness. With years of experience training both athletes and everyday movers, she brings a science-backed, heart-driven approach to every session.

Her specialties include working with clients managing cardiac and orthopedic conditions, as well as athletes from sports like swimming, running, cycling, skiing, golf, and baseball. Whether it’s rebuilding strength after an injury or improving performance for sport, Denise believes every body has room to grow — safely and powerfully.

What Denise loves most about training is the connection she builds with each client and the opportunity to walk alongside them on their health and fitness journey. She’s endlessly curious and believes there’s always something new to learn — whether it’s new research, better methods, or deeper ways to help clients thrive.

Outside the gym, Denise enjoys hiking, baking (she even baked her own wedding cake — a black forest cherry masterpiece!), and spending time with her husband and their two cats, Luke and Tito.

Fluent in both German and English, Denise brings warmth, knowledge, and encouragement to every workout. Her mission is simple: to help each client move better, feel stronger, and discover just how capable they truly are.
